Showcasing DATA4PT at the Urban Mobility Days

The DATA4PT project is looking back on a great week in Seville, Spain, where we attended the Urban Mobility Days! Read on for some highlights:

In the session ‘Transforming public transport’ moderated by UITP Secretary General Mohamed Mezghani, Tu-Tho-Thai of Technical Manager ITxPT highlighted the need for better standardised and high quality data to be shared to support the transformation of public transport. 

In addition, we had the pleasure of welcoming Paloma Aba Garrote, Director of CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) to our booth at the expo discussing how DATA4PT is meeting the needs of multimodal travel information service providers. They were impressed by the project’s Data Validation Tool and liked the example of the implementation in Italy.

Finally, in our workshop ‘ Open data for better urban mobility’ we discussed with an engaged audience how to leverage EU standards to exploit mobility data to their full potential and how to take advantage of the NAPs mandate of open data, to fully integrate innovation into citizen’s needs.
