On 24 November, DATA4PT organised a webinar presenting the EU CEN technical standards NeTEx and SIRI recent extension. These enable the exchange of static and real time data related to mobility modes such as vehicle (bike, car, shuttle etc.) sharing, vehicle pooling and rental.
During the webinar, the DATA4PT Team presented the background of SIRI and NeTEx for New modes (Part 5), which is fully integrated into Transmodel ecosystem. Many stakeholders contributed in different ways to developing the NeTEx/SIRI extension to the EU CEN Technical standards.
After, the DATA4PT Team presented the functional scope and examples of what kind of information can be used and exchanged by NeTEx and SIRI for a booking of an intermodal trip, bike sharing and car pooling trip.
The webinar was a great success, with over 130 participants showing high interest in the topic.
